NAACP Las Vegas — Building Disciplined Civic Power

We form members into trained ADVOCATES who advance and defend civil rights in Nevada through organized civic presence and year-round engagement.

Membership → Formation → Engagement → Mobilization → Leadership.

New attendees are welcomed and oriented at each meeting.

History 1111: Our Legacy

Founded in 1928, the NAACP Las Vegas Branch #1111 was born from a community determined to confront systemic inequality and build a more just Nevada. In an era defined by segregation, a courageous group of Black residents stood together to organize, educate, and advocate for equal opportunity.

Over nearly a century, Branch #1111 has championed progress in housing, education, economic access, and voting rights — serving as a constant voice for fairness and representation. Today, its members carry forward that legacy, fighting to ensure that every person in Las Vegas has the freedom to live with dignity and hope.
