Legal Redress
The NAACP Las Vegas Branch Legal Redress Committee reviews civil rights concerns, identifies patterns of discrimination, and connects community members to appropriate next steps. Before submitting a complaint, we ask that you review the information below.
Before You Submit a Complaint
This page is designed to set clear expectations and protect both the community and the NAACP Las Vegas Branch. Please review the scope below so you understand what Legal Redress can and cannot do.
What We Can Do
- Receive and review civil rights complaints
- Investigate concerns involving discrimination and systemic inequity
- Identify patterns affecting the broader community
- Refer individuals to appropriate attorneys, agencies, and resources
- Coordinate with other NAACP committees (Housing, Education, Criminal Justice, Civic Engagement, Health, etc.)
- Elevate recommendations through Branch leadership and, when needed, coordinate with NAACP National
What We Cannot Do

- Intervene in criminal defense, family law, or purely personal legal matters
When to Seek Immediate Help
- Emergency or immediate danger: call 911 or local emergency services.
- Urgent legal deadlines: contact a licensed attorney right away.
- Need legal advice today: the NAACP cannot advise you, but we may be able to refer you to resources after review.
