The NAACP Las Vegas Branch is proud to present its 2024 General Scholarship, designed to empower and support the academic pursuits of active members. This scholarship opportunity is available to high school, college, university, and trade school students who are part of the NAACP and have demonstrated academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Essential application requirements include NAACP membership proof, a recent transcript, a concise autobiography, and letters of recommendation. A critical component of the application is an essay focused on encouraging voter participation in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.

The "Empowering a Better Tomorrow Scholarship" from the NAACP Las Vegas Branch offers a unique $3,000 opportunity for individuals reentering society. This initiative is geared towards U.S. citizens who have been released from incarceration by April 5th and are enrolled for Fall 2024 in an accredited 2- or 4-year institution or trade school. Candidates must not have had any major disciplinary incidents in the past 12 months and should have applied for federal and state grants and loans. The scholarship application requires an NAACP form, a 50-word autobiography, and an essay.
