Prison Membership provides incarcerated individuals an opportunity to participate in the NAACP and support the ongoing movement for civil rights and racial justice.
Benefits include:
Official NAACP membership
Membership ID
Connection to the NAACP movement
Ability to affiliate with an authorized NAACP Prison Branch where available
Opportunities to participate in Prison Branch programming, education, leadership development, and advocacy where available
Voting and governance participation within a Prison Branch subject to NAACP rules and good-standing requirements
The NAACP Bylaws specifically authorize incarcerated individuals to become members of Prison Branches and establish structures for leadership training, educational programming, reentry support, and advocacy.
